Please Explain This Code "R015"

Please Explain This Code "R015"
1995 Deville 4.9L. Got code R015 "Passenger Initiator Circuit Resistance High".
So far, this has happened only one time. Exactly what does this mean? Also got DIC message "Service Air Bag System" only once. Car runs, but has hesitation at highway speeds, like something is intermittently misfiring. Have recently changed wires and plugs and battery. One other thing, I hear a underhood noise like something with a bad bearing, but I can't locate exactly where it is coming from. I removed serpentine belt and spun alternator by hand and it does not feel like it has bearing problems. I apologize for so much information, but I really need help getting this car back running good. It only has 83,000 miles, and interior and body is in great shape. Thanks for any help offered. I will try to do whatever you suggest.
