low coolant message on display

Default low coolant message on display

i think it may be the sensor but i am unable to locate it.i have not a clue where it is.i checked the coolant reservoir,not there.looked at the radiator,can not see it but with all the covers its hard to see anything.any help would be great.just a general location to look?thanks in advance for the help.see ya, Bill

Bill,
I thinksomeoneposted a similar probablyrecently. I'm not sure if it was this cadillac forum or not though?

They stated the sensor was in the coolant reservoir, but it turns out the problem was the connector tothe coolant reservoir was broken.

Hopefully the pros will chime in.
What year andmodel do you have?

Jasper,it is a 2000.i checked the reservoir over and under and did not see it,not saying i did not overlook it,but i will look again in the am.thanks for the reply and if anybody else has other views please reply,thanks again in advance,Bill

Hate to state the obvious but did you top up the resovoir? I believe a level of anything over an inch below the filler base will trigger the message.

i did check the level very first thing and it was full.i rechecked the reservoir for the low coolant sensor but still can not find it in the reservoir.i'll keep looking.any help would be great.Jasper i will google the site you mentioned and see if that helps.thanks again for any and all suggestions.see ya' Bill
