Default RE: information please

4.5 V8 - 180 HP & 245 ft/lbs

4.9 V8 - 200HP & 275 ft/lbs

4.6 V8 - LD8 - 275 HP &300 ft/lbs
- L37 - 300 HP & 295 ft/lbs

I would recommend you find a 4.6 LD8 since this engine is best for quick acceleration and high torque at lower speeds and this is how I see you using the Low Rider. Also with added weight for the equipment you will be installing it is the best one to handle the added weight imo.

No problem. I should have mentioned that funeral cars and limos have the LD8 for the reasons I mentioned, extra equipment and weight.Rememeber you can't do to many off the shelf modifications to a Cadillac engine. The 4.6 Northstar is a factory high perfomance engine anyway. In a Deville it can embarass an original Pontiac GTO!
