Help with 68 DeVille power steer gear box
Hi Forum,
I am not a mechanic but that has never stopped me having a go my problem is I had to remove my power steer gear box as it was leaking. I have the replacement ready to go in but how do I make sure that both shafts are in the right position on the spindles and the car drives straight. All help appreciated but please give very detailed instructions as I am not a mechanic
Thank
Ozzie Mick

Center steering prior to removing steering box. Install steering box on frame. Steering shaft coupling should only go on one way. Attach shaft to box / rotate steering wheel lock to lock / return back 1/2 as many turns / steering box should be centered and wheel in straight head position. now attach pittman arm wheels should be straight.
