hard to start

RE: hard to start
My cadi is a 1997, 29,000 miles, engine 32 V northstar. When it was in the shop, they replaced the fuel pressure regulator. The problem was still there so I took it back. they kept it over night so they could see how hard it was to start the next morning... they then cleaned spark plugs etc. at n/c...however it is still very hard to start on these cold mornings. Is there something else I should be looking at? Or is there something I can get to keep the engine warm?

RE: hard to start
The first thing i would do is monitor the fuel pressure to see if its leaking down overnight.
If that was ok then i would monitor the engine sensors to see if everything was in spec.
Both require special tools and info to be done properly.

RE: hard to start
just because they replaced the pressure regulator doesn't mean the fuel system is holding pressure.
The pump or an injector could be leaking down overnight.
Monitoring the engines senors requires a scan tool that has "engine data" capabililty.
