I want to drain and completely flush my coolant system. I have a few drain pans, and I purchased a bottle of the prestone super flush. Where exactly is the coolant to drain from? Is there a bolt or cap that twists off, or do I have to unhook a hose? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hey, sorry. 96 deville. I just want to backflush it with water to clean it out. I want to try using a sealant to hopefully stop from losing coolant.

if you are doing a "repair" then ignore everythign i said and follow the instructions
EXACTLY as given.

i didnt know this was a resin seal job

Thanks. Yeah, for the sealant, I will follow directions exactly as it says. Prior to this I want to completely flush the coolant system to maximize the effects of the sealant. I'm hoping this will stop the coolant loss for a while. If this doesn't work, I guess I'll have to actually fork up the cash and get the gaskets replaced. Ouch
