Default Fading hood ornament and badges

I have a 2002 Deville. The goldplating that is on the hood ornament and some of the emblems and badges has faded. Is there anyway to restore them with a cleaner/polish or will they need to be replaced?[/align]

I doubt you can repair fading. Just have them re-plated.

Almost looks like silver does when it starts to tarnish. Maybe I'll try some tarnish remover. What do I have to lose. If it doesn't work, then I'll replace them, or at least the hood ornament. That looks the worst.

Default faded escalade emblems

cheap fix: a package of red refective tape and an exacto knife. a steady hand and about 10 minutes per emblem. total cost just under $20.00. i'm happy!

As for me, I prefer to buy new emblems, the prices for them are not too high, so this method is easier. On this store https://natalexauto.com/ you can find inexpensive new emblems for any car.
