I pulled the codes from my 1996 Deville Concours. I have an awful lot of history codes in the P series of codes. I have looked them up in the provided links. Most of them are history codes, with the exception of two codes. Is there a way to clear the past history codes so that I can find out exactly what all is wrong with my car?

I have the service trans message, which I feel is why it has a current code of pc0717, and the SES light is on, which I feel is due to the curent code of pc1645. These are the only 2 codes that are showing current on my car. Does the old history codes have anything to do with the lights and messages that are on now? I know that I sound like I am rambling, but I need some Cadillac expertise. Help Please!!!!!!!

P0717 input speed sensor fault - normally trans has to come and apart to correct. P1645 relates to evap purge soleniod driver. both codes will turn light on. To clear codes, after all codes dislay PCM? should come up. Press increase blower button. CLEAR CODES should come up the press it again. CODES CLEARED should come up.
