Default A/C Problem

Hello again and thanks again for your help.

A little update. I installed a new ac compressor in my 98 Deville about a week ago. Everything was working fine until today when I got "Service AC System" message. I went in to the cars computer and I am getting an ACM B1315 Code. From what I can find online it seems to be an "Evaporator Inlet Temp Sensor Short CKT". So I am at a loss at this point. If anyone can help me find and fix the problem I will be very appreciative.

Thanks Daniel

I just went to check the pressaure with the car off on the low preasure line (the port between the dryer and the firewall on the thicker diamater line and it was reading about 160psi) I hope this can give you some insight on what the problem might be.

WOW! 160 on the low side with the car off.
That is something i have never seen.
110 on a very hot day with a hot engine is max i see.
Evap inlet sensor is on the small line along the firewall, its the one closest to the passenger side.

When I pulled the inline filter it was clogged with metal shavings. I am wondering if there was still more in the system and what is what caused but the sensor to go bad and possibly plug up the filter causing the low pressure line to get over pressurized? I am tempted to open up the system again and check that filter. Please give me your opinion.

Thanks

Could it be that when you had the new pump put in and the car serviced it was not flushed? metal shavings could be from the old pump.
