It "was" On Star but I don't have the service. If I wanted the service, I think I would have to update my system since it's still the old analog in my car.

Take the battery out of the transmitter for a day or two and see what happens. Just open everything manually. That will eliminate the remote transmitter. Something is sending a high to the micro to trigger the relay to open the trunk, now, a corrupted eeprom can do this, it was a noted problem with RCA and GE televisions a few years ago in which channel's would change at random along with volume and also the menu would pop up. I know this is about your caddy but the same electronics are involved with your problem.

Thanks for the sugestion. Do you think the issue is with the remove or with something in the car? I understand what your saying about eliminating the remote. I'm just wondering were the problem might be. Thanks agin.
