Default air ride

just came back from the dealer and they told me my air suspension was completely shot.(compressor, some type of sensor, air shocks) my question is there any type of non air shocks to put in the rear of my caddy? they quoted me a price of almost 2000.00for replace and install the new system.
you guys have been great help in the past. my car is a 2000 deville

Yeah, the shop told me $1600 to do my front struts. Then I went to strutmasters.com and got aconversion kit that's fully assembledfor $275 a pair. You should try that.

I used Arnotts on all 4 corners of my Allante - love them so far - and, the cost for all 4 and install was less than 1 front strut from GM - go figure...

I just ordered the Strutmaster 4 wheel kit for my '96 Deville. Hope to have these on by the weekend. Everything I have found to read is that these are a good purchase, so I will see.

I had the Strutmaster 4 wheel kit installed on my '96 DeVille and it rides great. The mechanic that put the shocks and struts on had an issue with the front struts and one resistor was damaged in shipment. The cost for labor was $360 which was about $80 more than I was quoted, but due to the issues he had, I figured it was still worthwhile. I also put two new tires on the front which helped with alignment. Evidently, my passenger front tire had an issue. Overall, I am pleased with the ride so I feel that this was a good purchase.
