97 charging problem

Default 97 charging problem

ok have a 97 with a 4.3 motor it started saying no charge off and on yesterday and then today it died so i replaced the altenator after they tested it.. my wife drove it home from work and it still said no charge. tested battery and replaced it. still doesnt charge. any ideas

4.3 engine left ? mark. Any codes? (computer controlled alt.) What is condition of battery cables? What is voltage at battery, heavy red wire of alt, and blue or brown wire of alternator when engine is idling?. Be careful around cooling fans!

no codes that i know of is their a way to check without a reader.dash says no charge new batt has 11.8, cables good. red wire at backk of alt. checked back of alt with volt meter its not putting anything out. gonna put another rebuilt on tommorow and see what happens

its fixed turned out the new alt i got was no good
