what are your options when it comes time to replace the self-adjusting struts that are on my car other than gm replacements at 500 a piece? Any suggestions would be appreciated

 

also is there a way to see what temp the car is running w/o putting an aftermarket gauge on the car? I like to be able to see gauges not wait on idiot lights to come on. although i do enjoy the digital display on my car thanks again in advance
