I've recently replaced timing chain and replaced cracked distrubuter cap...

The battery wont keep a charge in it and i think its the aftermarket alarm system that was installed in 99.

Has anyone had this problem and/or have any suggestions?

i have had this problem with several aftermarket alarms...i will NEVER again have an alarm installed...do you also have an aftermarket head unit?

 

The alarm can cause it. But it’s not likely there current drain is so small.
If it’s not holding a charge it’s possibly a batter with a dead cell in it.
