Default 92 Deville 4.9 ISSUES...

Well, it started with a rough running car. I suspected the fuel pump, so I wipped out ye olde fuel pressure gage and hooked it up. When I just turned the key to the on positions, without starting the car The pressure jumps up to 42 psi, but the pressure doesn't stay up there. So I thought maybe the regulator is bad, so I started the car and the pressure then stays about 35 psi, I then unplugged the vac***e line from the regulator and the pressure jumps up to about 44 psi. I figured that was a sure sign of the fuel pump. Didn't feel like doing that today (not with a full tank of gas), so I figured I go ahead and change the fuel filter. Now the car won't start, Im getting gas to the filter, but not to the rail. Looks like the pump is to week to get it all the way there.

So I went to back the car out of the garage and roll it down the driveway. As I was turning the wheel (engine OFF) the steering pops and then spins freely not turning the wheels. Any else run into this stuff????????

..or you have air in the line between the filter and the rail.
