Default '91 DeVille door panel removal

1991 Sedan DeVille...passenger window will not go up. Managed to pull window up with needle nose pliers (ouch) and window seems to stay in up positioneven when slaming the door shut so I'm good short term. Now I need to pull the door panel to fix the root problem but I'm stymied. Chilton's manual starts off by telling me to pry up power window switch plate control panel. I've pried my butt off with no luck and fear breaking something. What am I not getting? Any secrets here? Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks guy but I bailed on this one and took it to a trusted mechanic. I get real nervous when instructions include the word "pry" and the wind noice from an almost closed window was driving me crazy. Turns out it was no big deal - some parts had worked themselves loose and came apart. A couple of hours labor on top of a state inspection and an emission test cost me less than $200.
