Default 1994 Deville Concours still overheating

[&o]Just had 94 Deville Concours in shop for head gasket overhaul(NorthStar). Car has 99K miles. After that car idles at good temp but as soon as you drive car overheats sometimes to boiling point. New thermostat, new coolant, new radiator. Fans operating correct. Is there any other causes? My mechanic is stumped.

Often, the bolts threads pull out on the overhaul .. he needs to do a exhaust gas in coolant test as well as a compression test. If it fails, the headgasket job has failed.

If it passes, get back to us .. we will go from there.

Default 1994 Concours

Hey everyone! I just unfortunately joined the overheating party too. 94 Concours in great shape purchased 6 weeks ago... except for our common issue. 171k/New radiator(hose replaced also)/alternator/water pump... replaced in that order. Mechanic states next logical step is head gasket job or replace engine. Pellets & thermostat next?
