Default 1993 Sedan Deville - Gas Mileage

Hi all, what is the expected MPG for a 1993 Sedan Deville? My car has 114,000 miles and is getting about 14.5 MPG on the highway. I just put new spark plug and wires in it and there was really no change. Thanks.

Sounds about right, I have owned 3 different 4.9's and this is average, I averaged 16 mpg imperial gallon, ( 20% larger).

If you feel m.p.g. is low, you can feel better knowing that at 114,000 miles your 4.9 is barely broken in, take care of cooling system and regular
oil changes and you are good for many more miles, I sold my 92 eldo, 2 years ago with over 200,000 miles on it, I still see it around.

Sweet! on your Eldo; I love those. Thanks; Yes, maintenance done regularly; The car is not driven much; It was my dad's car and he did not drive it very much, at all; I will run diagnostics on it to see if there are any error codes; From there I will pull the throttle body and give it a good cleaning.

Fwiw, if the car is running fine with no obvious malfunctions, I wouldn't open up a can of worms by running checks on it. Ken
