Default 1993 Sedan Deville

Hello, I hope everone is well. I have a question for a 1993 Sedan Deville. My A/C control and Fuel Data Center units seem to have gone out at the same moment. With that said, I cannot tell how much fuel is in the car nor does the a/c or heater come on. I checked the owner's manual and both the Fuel Data Center and A/C seem to run on the same fuse (#7). I checked and changed the fuse and it is good. Can anyone offer any other advice on what the problem may be? Thanks.

Not simple, do to multiple possibilties. FDC, HVAC CONTROL HEAD, HVAC PROGRAMMER, BCM, OR ECM can cause this to happen. Sometimes you can unplug them one at a time and try to determine which is causing it.

I changed the BCM and the fuel center started blinking. The air would try to come on when I turn the car off then both stopped working. The old unit smelled burned and so did the chip inside smell burned. However, the dealership says the prom is not available. Any idea where I can find the a chip? Thanks.

Fuel Data Center.
Where did the BCM come from? New or used?
You may have wiring/component issues that need to be corrected before installing a new/different BCM. Most all of the dash display modules "talk" to each other, and a problem in one can certainly cause a problem in another.
Don't know where you might be able to locate a "chip", or if it's even available, except in a used module...

Yes, it's a rebuilt one from the dealership. I found the chip. It's like $269. I would like to have the old one bench tested before I proceed. Any ideas on where I can get bench tested? Thanks.
