1993 Deville 60 Special FWD HVAC has no vent airflow
Hi Folks
I have a 1993 Sedan Deville 60 Special that has the 4.9L L26 engine and is front-wheel drive
I have a HVAC problem
In the morning when weather is cooler the A/C works fine
As soon as the temps are higher there is no output of air out any of the vents
I used the on-board diagnostics scanner for the HVAC and wrote down all the values shown going through the functions shown for HVAC
When A/C is working and when no airflow out vents and the values compare almost the same
There are no DTCs (error codes) tripped
Tried using the lower and higher fans speeds with no difference and also tried high heat, Econ, etc and no time is there any vent flow
I suspect it is the A/C power unit once heated up goes non-functional
My question is, where the heck is this power unit installed/located as one service manual shows it on right side of engine bay by firewall when the heater core is but do not find this power unit and no wires near that area
So I took the right kick panel out and tried to find it and either not seeing it or it is also not located there
So where is it located for this year/model ?
Anyone swapped this out and how they did so ?
Thanks for any help as here in Texas be heating up with heat index over 110 F degrees for month :-(
