Also is there anything that is known to go on the car i should look for? outside of the 2 or 3 recalls i already looked. So pretty much any and all info that you guys have would be sooo greatly appreicated. Thanks again.

I have someone with access to the Kelly Blue Book telling methe blue book high value is $21,000. Rickyd asks all the right questions though. We need condition and mileage for sure. I will admit that I thought initally that the price was pretty good, but remember this is traditionally a slow period for the used car market.

Ok , here we go. Iam trading in a 03 impala with 68000mi cloth seats,3.4l base model power driver seat Casssette/cd player, ABS, DRL's and cruise control pretty basic they didnt look at my car yet i want to get it detailed before they look at b.c its a mess and i heard that it might help get you more for your car i dont know let me know what you think about that.....But they quoted me 5500 to 5000 for the impala ....

Yea it is a new caddy dealer ...it has 48000mi on it roughly cant remember exact number....Leather seats everything power, heated seats front and back and lumbar support as well., power telescoping steering wheel, rear power sun shade,2 option memory seats driver seat , back seat shades not powered, dual zone climate control, CD and cassette, rear parking sensor, power mirrors , side mirrors signal indicator, rear ac,cruise control, tire pressure montioring ,keyless enry, Antilock brakes, traction control, wood trim steering wheel with radio controls on it, Onstar, D.R.L's , ashtrays on back doors with lighter outlet, NO Sunroof, and vanity mirrors front and back. To be completely honest iam not too much of a wheels or rims person so i dont really remember what was on there. I do know that the caddy crest is built into the grill and no hood ornament[&o] . front seat is a bench , leather isnt in the best condition a little dirty no rips that i saw though ,when i test drove for abot 6 mi's due to lack of gas.. Blah! Ok thats about all i can remeber option-wise
Iam in NY about 30 mins from NYC.
when i came back from the test drive the sales man says hold on ill get you a "bottom line price" and came back with 17,900 but said they were looking for 18,900. since i wasnt ready to do anything that day i didnt say anything. So i didnt ask them if i can take the car for the day( i never really heard of doing that before).

i hope that enough stuff if i can remember anything more ill edit or update tomm. than ill wont be back til mon. and thats when iam goin in to get an exact amount on what they will give me for my car and put a possibly deposit. Once again thanks in advance for any and all advice

***EDIT*** oh yea and it comes with a 2 additional years 100000mi warranty .bumper to bumper

katzmans....03DHS......yes i thought the price, $17000.00 seemed real good myself...... also to build on what katz said about the market, the big cars, with their V8s are also soft in the market.....so....... guys, kbb.com- and nada.com are both good guides and can be accessed as you know on your pcs.....remember, they are a guide........ the big thing that i like is that the car is GM certified......however 03DHS make sure that it is "GM" Certified, and not dealer certified.tell me this, what is the warranty? katz, kbb is showing, $21000. as retail.... doesn't that seem high? now go into nada.com, and punch that car in. use a zip code 16423 ( thats close enough) for 03DHS. i'll bet there are thousands different.just a guide. and all the books are different. the dealers know which one to show customer for the one they are selling, and which book to use for your trade......trust me it will all be in the dealers advantage.....DHS do not go in and buy per the books......they will win.
ok to the point.....DHS, make sure its a GM certified car...... take the car to your wrench (mechanic)....... you clean your car the best you can,(dress the tires, and clean the glass)..........after the dealer looks at your car,and gives you a figure.$$$...DO NOT say a word!!!!!!! the 1st to speek will loose. if you have to sit there 1 hr. do so. don't say a word. he'll say something soon enough.....then, tell him "imo your $2400.00 off from what i will pay you" if he gives another $2000. or close, take it it may take some back and forth with his manager...if not walk out, be nice but go.....he'll get to you.....if not go find another......let me know how you make out, please........Ilove this stuff GOOD LUCK DHS.....tx Katzmans, we'll talk later

One thing you need to be aware of...you will not be able to get Onstar with this vehicle after December 31, 2007. It'll only be available on 2004 and up vehiclesdue to FCC regulations regarding analog signals. After that they will only be able to send digital signals. If that is of no consequence to you, definitely use that as a bargaining tool to get the price down even lower. Likely, they won't tell you this information up front. Caddy Style
