Post Transmission fluid change, cost & where to go?

2007 Cadillac CTS
148,000 miles

I just received a "Change transmission fluid" light.
My info check also reads at 9% fluid life.

Does anyone know what Cadillac charges to change transmission fluid, how long it takes, etc. or what other chain does this service?

I've went to a few chains and I keep getting the business about them servicing cars under 100,000 miles...

Please advise.

Thanks.

Prices can vary by area and dealer so you will need to call around. Fluid is checked and added from under car so it will take longer. I would expect it should take 1 hour from the time the tech starts working on it. you would want to set appointment to be sure parts are in stock. The other choice is a transmission fluid flush which only replaces fluid.

Default CTS ATF Change

My local dealer charges $150 for a change-out. Considering the cost of the filter and the gasket are about $60, then add the cost of Dexron VI, that isn't too bad. Of course, you need to confirm that you are actually getting a new filter and gasket. GM says the gasket is reuseable. I bought the parts, since they didn't stock the gasket, and asked to be allowed to see the pan and filter when it was pulled, as well as to have the pulled gasket and filter placed in my trunk, just to make sure I got the new gasket and filter installed. Trust but verify, or something like that
