Any idea why my message is coming up and then shutting itself off every few minutes? Do I have to take it into the dealer? Doesn't do this all the time but has started happening alot more?

 

yes, you do have to take it to the dealer, when the air bag light is on the system is not operating and if a crash occurs, your safety will be compromised. I would get this fixed ASAP

 

You will have to take it in to see which airbag is causing the fault. It has been happening to me and I had Onstar do a diagnostic on it. I was told that the airbag may NOT deploy if you are in an accident. It does not mean that it will just pop out on you...

It is a safety hazzard and should be checked....

 

You have some type of malfunction and needs to be repaired. Does it seem to come and go? If so does it change when you turn the steering wheel? Have someone connect up to the ALDL plug and go to the SIR or airbag system to see what is wrong

 

I see my error usually when someone is sitting in the passenger seat. However, it does not come up all the time. I have not had the chance to get to the dealer. Anyone else have this reoccuring error?
