Default Navigation install

I have a 2003 CTS that had the old discs for the NAV system and i just bought a DVD one. The person i bought it from says it will work in my car as well. is there anything i need to know about installing this to make it work for my car or if anyone has any tips for me?

it is a factory unit. the seller said it would just plug in and play but i want to make sure

i got this unit finally and put it in my car. It sounds like it is running and all but the xscreen just says theftlock activated on the screen and it wont let me do anything else. is there anything i need to do to this in order to make it function or what. please help me out.

I believe you have to have the dealer unlock it unless the guy you bought it off of has the code.
