Default Great Long Distance Vehicle

I have an 09 CTS Premium 3.6 DI with 6SPD manual. Just took an extended drive combining family get events with a small vacation buying wine. Travelled from Tampa, Charlotte NC, Pittsburgh Pa, Buffalo NY, Niagara ON, Charlottesville VA, Savannah GA, and back to Tampa.

Great trip, car ran flawlessly, 2922 miles, 25.6 MPG average across complete trip with sections averaging over 30 (running 60-65MPH). All types of weather, hot, raining, snow, cold... did not matter. This a great car. My wife and I packed clothes for a ten day trip and also ended up with 6 cases of wine. Throughout, car answered the call.

Looking forward to comparing current CTS with new model, side by side. Cadillac has a tall order to beat. I for one do not agree that the CTS is a tweener (3/5 series comparison). In fact BMW must also think the size is right... they just came out with a 4 series.
