Unhappy Door Panel Electrical sometimes fails

I am wodering why my 2005 CTS electrical system in my driver door does not work sometimes and why it works other times. I once had a problem with only the window buttons but the service guy told me it was a sign of a dying battery...so i replace it - it worked. Now years later, it is happening to windows, door locks, window lock etc. The battery volt meter reads +14 V's. What's going on?

The last time the battery was changed was about a year and a half. I'm in Vegas so the weather is extremely harsh on car batteries here. I probably change the batery every 2 years or so on the average.

@JVEC, I have read your post about your situation with your 2005 Cadillac CTS. Have you contacted your local Cadillac dealership's service department to see what they had to say about this?
