I have an 08 cts4 that has given a "service power steering" message. The fluid level is fine. The steering effort is ok but noticeably higher effort required. Besides the obvious pump or rack malfunction, is there anything ecm or BCM related that I should look at? Thanks.

 

Update. It was the alternator going bad. Voltage fluctuating messed with the steering electronics.
