I'm curious, as I lost my bezel last summer. 2003 cts. What do you do for reverse lights?
I stopped looking for a replacement lens. I'm saving up to buy a used trunk lid as they are cheaper than the factory price. Can't just buy the plastic cover.

 

I blocked off my reverse lights, because its not illegal here and i like the look better. But i did source a bunch of lenses that were possible to use. Mainly from ebay.

as for the trunk lids. I have yet to find one for sale that includes the bezel. they always pull those units off and sell for 500$ plus... since dealer wants over 1000$ for a new unit. lame

 

I never thought of reverse lights not being required by law. Maybe I will get a solid piece. All I need is the plastic cover. I'm going to give the local police station a call. Otherwise I'm thinking of buying one of those louvered types like E & G Classics or BigDaddyCaddy sells. Are these made to go over the original plastic cover for a better look? Or do they come with plastic covering the louvers on the inside? Wouldn't it then stick out a little? I'm thinking I could use some plastic like you see covering fluorescent light fixtures to cover the inside of the louvers if they don't come with it. I'm really disgusted with the entire situation.

 

those plastic louver pieces are only to cover the original plastic lens.. if your lens has fallen off, these louver pieces will not fit on. As of right now, im the only one making something that replaces the original plastic lens that falls off, except the dealer replacement unit which swaps out the whole unit to a newer style. expensive. BUT, there was very little interest in my product, so I only had 4 made. one is left.

 

lost the clear plastic piece. am looking to see if anyone out there is selling one. I am only interested in the cover, not the whole bezel.
