Default Advice and counsel?

Hi everyone...I'm new here. I've been a member of the Corvette forum for a couple of years and have found it to be a valuable resource....so thanks in advance. I'm starting to begin the idea of obtaining a new or certified CTS. I'm intrigued by using some auction sites, or dealers to look at pre-owned executive fleet cars, etc. What do you all think of this idea? I've always bought new, but I found my "used" Corvette (2 1/2 years old with 6500 miles) I started wondering if it is smart to try the same search for a nice slightly used CTS. I did buy it from a dealership, but I was able to call the owner to verify car's history. Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks again...

Personally, I would only buy a CPO. If I personally knew an owner of a CTS then I would consider that vehicle, but if you want to keep it for a while the CPO vehicle is the way I would go.

I bought my 05 CTS CPO (certified pre-owned) in Dec of 07. It had 38K miles, was a one owner car and I paid less than half the original sticker price. They took pretty good care of it because it was in beautiful condition, still is. That's the only way I could afford the car. I would absolutely look at CPO and off lease cars.

CPO .
but there is some newer CTS' house there .. that don't have very many KM's on them .. i would request a vehicle history report if you were buying from a private seller/commercial dealership . are you looking for a new , second generation CTS or a first generation (2003-2007) CTS ?
