2007 Cadillac CTS: What affects an emission test?
2007 Cadillac CTS
143,000 miles
I have until the end of January to complete my emission inspection. During the summer, I was told that I had a small leak within after I had a new flywheel installed. In addition, my transmission fluid reading onscreen says 11%.
Does anyone know if a small leak(whether it still exists or has stopped)or not having transmission fluid filled can affect an emissions test?
I wish to have my fluid filled, but I'm afraid of what they might find, along with the obscene problems and costs with this car. I had requested to have this done before at Firestone, but they wouldn't touch it because they said that I needed another flywheel and/or transmission related work.
So, if I'm correct, you cannot have any small leaks or transmission related problems before receiving new transmission fluid?
Since I've had my flywheel installed, I've not had any Check Engine lights. Your help in this matter would greatly be appreciated.
