97 Catera Evaporative Emission code ?

Default 97 Catera Evaporative Emission code ?

Greetings: I just got a 1997 Catera. The check engine light is on so I took it to Autozone and the code said Evaporative Emissions. The guy said this is usually the gas cap. Opened the cap, no pressure hiss, and reclosed it but the check engine light still is on. Any help where else these cars may have this trouble or the best place to get a new gas cap would be appreciated.

Also I cannot find the transmission dip stick. Where the heck is it?

Usually is the fuel cap and at around 10 bucks it's the cheap solution.
