Post 2004 Cadillac CTS Winter Mode

I have a beautiful 2004 CTS. It's all good and fine... nothing wrong. I'm just wondering what exactly does the Winter Mode do for the car when it's on? I've read the manual... but I'm just wondering from a real persons point of view. Not a book. Thanks

Also, anyone ever throw their CTS in Sport Mode? Fun right, I know

Winter Mode prevents wheel spin, therefore more traction, during slippery conditions by using THIRD (3) gear instead of SECOND (2) when you begin to accelerate from a stopped position.

Sports Mode changes the shift timing

Learn to control your foot and you may not need them.
