2003. Cts
Hi guys,
considering to buy a CTS model from 2003. So as I am in europe, and this is exotic for us, i would appreciate some info from you.
What is service intervals, and is it good for maintenance?
What engine is most reliable?
Stuff like that
thank you

I've got a 2003 with the 3.2L engine. Here's a list of what i've done to it so far. The car has 130K KM on it.
- Thermostat
- Diff seals
- Crank Position sensor
- brakes (wear & tear)
- Drivers side rear wheel bearing
- Shocks (wear & tear)
- Trunk lid shock arms
That's pretty much all of it that I can think of. One of the engines (not sure if it's the 2.8 or 3.6) has been having timing chain failures. I don't think these were even an option in 03'. I could be wrong though.
Good luck with the car, I absolutely love mine. I really want a new one
Regards,
Ross.

With 130,000mi on your 3.2L you're living on borrowed time for the timing belt, I believe they are suppose to be changed out at around 80,000 miles, If it snaps then you'll probably have a huge paper weight on your hands. Also at 130,000 you'd probably be just a well to have the water pump and tensioners changed also...As long as they're in there.
