Default Both Pull Down Motors (Top & Truck) Stopped Working Same Time

I have a 93 Allante and both the rear convertible pull down motor and the trunk pull down motor stopped working at the same time (I believe, as when the top's pulldown didn't work I opened the trunk, and it didn't pull down when I shut it). I feel like it is too much a coincidence for both to stop working at the same time. Do they share a common fuse or relay? If so where?

Looking around on Ebay I see that there is both a convertible top relay and relay eliminator. If you need a relay to power the pull down, what in the heck can the benefit be of the relay eliminator? The seller offered no explanation.

Repairing an engine is a fairly complex process that requires effort. Also, without knowledge of the engine design, you can't fix it. I had a similar problem and decided to go to a car service for help. When they told me the repair cost, I immediately refused because it was too much. So I decided to buy a used truck here https://www.truckexporter.co.uk/ as it was high time to get rid of my old truck. I found a terrific Renault in great condition and at an affordable price.

Hi Old Hippie, I am brand new and I am hoping you will do me a favor. I too have pull-down motor problems but mine is the power connector for the top pull down switch. When I bought this 1993 Allante it had a lot of years of neglect the pull down switch is the one I am trying to fix first. The plug going into the switch is SHOT. All corroded with the three wires just hanging. If you will please, while you are working on your top pull down switch and motor, take a look at the colors of the three wires and where each on goes into the plastic plug. I know the plug has five posts; A, B, C, D, and E. I have a replacement pigtail but it is made for the top pull down or the trunk pull down so it has five wires on it, and I know I only need three of the five, but which three? Thanks for any help you can give me.....sclaw
