ORIGINAL: Katzmans Caddy

ORIGINAL: Stealth

post progress, estimate about 3 years for the project and add a couple more for delays and budget adjustments.
And three years labour at $75 per hour is $468,000! That's my point!

Katz,

I pay myself only $2 / hr so I can afford the projects.
I get mine done for under $13,000 in labor and $3,000 in parts

Thank everyone so much for their input thus far. Whenever I get a shot, I'll try and upload some pictures of certain pieces since visual inspection might be a better indicator. This car is going to be a project, but I think it's worth it. The car is beautiful and has such potential. I recently saw an old Caprice Classic restored to factory spec, and if that was any indication, this car will be a gorgeous and worthy project.

If they sell Chilton manuals for this car, I'll try to undertake as many projects as I can get the tools for. I recently swapped out the old oil for full synthetic so I guess I'll find out if there's any leaks soon.

I'm wondering if I should have the brake line AND the master cylinder replaced, or start with one or the other.

Dont waste money on a Chilton or Haynes. Get a factory service manual. Worth the extra money! How lucky do you feel? Do the lines and master as well.

I have been MIA a while...Did you get your brakes corrected? Does it still have the 4 wheel disc brake system that would have came on it?
