Exclamation 1977 DEVILLE stalls when hard breaking

Why does my 1977 deville stall out when you brake it hard??? Is it a vacuum leak? Give me a list of what it could be...

hello miss von....... gee, didnt know you had mr banana boat on the road. great! so, you got a problem with stalling on a hard brake.... i got the solution..... dont brake hard....keke...
could be a couple things seriously.... does it stall out, lets say if you give'r a good rev and let'r drop to idle? does it do it all the time, or on occasion?
its something to do, of course with your idle, and the settings, etc. give us a little more info about the problem.

as stated above, need more details.

your idea of the vacuum leak would be a high priority to check, followed by the carburetor.

I found out my father rebuilt the carb, and every since he did that the car lost most it's power.... Also it's not on the road.. yet... and it does not stall out when I rev it up... Only on hard braking.

Check float level of carb, adjust to 1/4-5/16. Also check ignition timing #1 cylinder is on passenger side of car vs drivers side for all other GM engines. Big block Caddy engine is unique that way.

hey slowroll .. good to see you back.
I also vote for the carb, probably improperly adjusted on the rebuild.
