Default transmission supports necessary

Hi I have 1979 Cadillac deville 425 and installed dual exhaust back from the back of the headers. The cross member between the frame rails holding up the transmission only has one hump so had to cut the other side and weld in a piece of pipe for exhaust pipe to pass thru. When building and bending the pipe on that side, we had to remove another tranny support bracket to make room and didn't reinstall. The mechanic said a lot of people do that.
My question is will that make my transmission less stable and may tend to vibrate when under throttle thus causing the drive shaft to not turn nice and level.
especially when I step on it for power and torque.
Thanks.

The cross member does need to attach to both sides.
