My son uses my old 1996 Deville to go back and forth to collage. While driving home this week he made a u turn and the transmission went to all gears neutral. Had it towed home and I checked the codes. The only code was 1810. You can put it in any gear and they are all like neutral. We are both short on funds so a rebuild is not an option, could it be a fuze or relay? Or the gear seletor switch. Hopeing it is somthing we can fix ourself. Any help would be appreciated. I have seen this same problem on a couple of boards but never an answere to the problem.

The transmission shops I have spoken to all want to do rebuilds not just replace the part that is not working. If anyone has had this problem and found a solution please let me know. There must be a Cadillac transmission guy that uses this board but so far not one reply.
