94 Deville trans not working

Default 94 Deville trans not working

hey there i have a 94 sedan deville thats battery went dead so i replaced the battery but didnt reset the computer, it drove fine for about a mile afterward but then the tranny refused to engage in any gear and reverse. i tried taking the battery out and re doing the start up but it doesnt work still..... am i screwed? the army doesnt pay enough to put it in a shop..

sounds like a coincidence really, did you check your fluid level? no fluid = no go

just checked fluid fluid looks good full+ good color and smell.....any other ideas?

almost sounds like a harness was pulled.
but try this ..
disconnect battery for 15 to 30 minutes, reboot computers and lets see what you got then.
if still the same, get us the codes.


.

i tried and no luck there was a vac*** hose disconnected with a beat up hose on it i replaced it on and still no luck i get code 1039 if i remember correctly but lookin at an old thread i guess it could be the brake switch... i remember hearing a strange clicking sound when i hit the brakes last time i was in it.
