Exclamation 2007 ESV Issues....Please help!

Last week I went to start my 07 ESV (it had been sitting for about a week and half) and the battery was dead. I boosted the truck and approximately 10-15mins into driving it the Traction Control, Stabilitrak, check engine and ABS lights started going off, the door locks would lock and unlock repeatedly, the gauges started fluctuating and last but certainly not least, the transmission will not shift out of first gear. I was able to pull the following codes U0073, P0700 and U0101. I was able to find several threads with people having similar problem, however nothing has worked....I did read that there is a technical bulletin out for this issue......just wondering if anyone has gone through this and what the findings were?

Mike

Low voltage causes all kinds of fun. Did you have battery tested or replaced? Did you have codes cleared? Did codes reset?

The battery show 12.5V with the vehicle off and 13.7V with it running, so I have ruled those two out. I did clear the codes, however they reappeared right after start up with no change........At this point I am leaning towards replacing the negative battery cable.

Most auto parts stores will test batteries and charging systems for free. I would do that before buying cable If you know how to do voltage drop test, I would test cable before replacing it. Also make sure ground connections are clean and tight.

Great idea....I think I will give that a shot first.

How do you do a voltage drop test?
