Hey all, new to this site and looking for some help. I just bought a 2005 STS with 110K on the clock. I am now having an issue with the trans that I cant say I have ever heard of before. When the car is first started up I can put it in gear and go no issues. It seems like it warms up a little bit and then I have nothing, acts like its in N will rev and won't move. Turn the car off for 10 seconds and it works again, within a few feet it stops working. The odd thing is, when it works I can hold the brake down and gas it, it will hold until it hits the stall point on the TC. I have not dropped the pan yet. I am thinking it's either something clogging the filter or maybe an issue with the TC? Maybe the TCM? When it is working it shifts and locks up perfect, will break the rear tires loose. Any thoughts or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

 

Anyone? I haven't had time to drop the pan yet, hopefully soon. Any thoughts at all?
