Unhappy rebuild or replace

has anybody had their engine rebuilt by Northstar Performance in Canada? I was thinking about sending mine that way to have the heads and gasket kit updated as well as all the gaskets redone along with rebuild 1800 total cost if i pull and send engine. does this sound like a good deal or is it worth to just buy a new engine for around 2500? Any advice on this would be great as i am about to pull the car to pieces and start rebuilding it. I wish cadillac would make a long lasting car instead of one that needs to be completely rebuilt every 100-150k miles. which i think is really sad considering how beautiful this car looks (2000 DTS Silver). I dont trust it outside of town especially with my wife and children.
List of things I get to replace

1. Power steering pump (making noise when i turn to the right)
2. Hub barrings (front right making noise)
3. Engine rebuild (I dont think there is anything it doesnt leak)
4. Transmission (TCC Solenoid = bad seals so reman tranny)
