Idle needs relearned - search it (idle learn)

Default cadillac idle learn

If the throttle body bore and backside of the blades are cleaned, the idle speed will be high due to the higher idle learn offsets caused by the gradual deposit buildup.

Sudden removal of the deposits (cleaning) will cause more airflow with the higher idle learned offsets.

Disconnecting the battery for 60 seconds will reset the idle speed learn offsets back to the "clean throttle body" default factory values.

The rest of the "idle learn" procedure is there to relearn idle for other reasons other than cleaning the TB.

Hello,

Thank you for this answer.

But before your answer, i have touch the screw of the ISC...
I have tighten the screw. Now when engine is cold, i start, but the idle too low, after few minutes the idle is OK between 800rpm.
But the motor is hot after driving, the idle is too high 1200 / 1400rpm.

What i must do ?

I think to change my ISC ?

Thank you.

Hello,

I have changing my ISC motor, but i can't relearn the isc...

With the plunger screw at the max, that don't touch the trottle lever, but the idle is at 1200rpm !

There is a crank for push the trottle lever on contact with plunger.

My Trottle body, or my Trottle body sensor is OUT ?

Thank you.
