coolant is not compressible and if the only thing that broke is the starter's teeth, you were lucky. what often happens when a cylinder fills with coolant fluid is a bent rod or even worse.

this engine needs to be pulled and fixed .. unless it is not an economical repair based on the value of the car, you can always try the $100 in-a-can fix that may, MAY, get the car a year or two of extra life.

Yes there is a drain plug, on driver side bottom of rad. If you look undr car under rad strait up, you should see thru a hole in metal under covering a plug on the bottom of rad. the hole is big enough to use some pliers or something and twist off the plug...then go from there.
