I recently purchased an '08 DTS with only 36,000 miles for only 10k. The car is super clean and still has that new car leather smell. The car is fabulous but the shifter is on the column and I want to convert it to the OEM floor mount. I have purchased the entire console on eBay at a ridiculously low price of $100 and also pulled the shifter from a car ('06) that someone was parting out. The swap looks straight forward as far as the cable linkage but I am not exactly sure about the wires for the park lock and neutral safety. I guess I will find out once I start but has anyone here done a similar conversion or have any suggestions other than "don't do it"?
