Default oops, wrong leak area

My previous post concerning an o-ringleak was wrong. I gave the engine a good bath and today went on a 25mi drive. Suspect area at the oil-filter adapter was bone-dry! Leak is definitely coming from rear-main seal area.....a bad thing! Every other gasketed surface is clean for oil leaks. So, I'm pretty-much scr'wd. Due to lousy health I can't do this job and besides that I don't have any experience in dealing with getting a transaxle out/back in correctly. Don't know any local GM mechanics, since I've always done my own work. I think this seal leak is from the car not being used much and my using syn oil. I doubt a leak-stop would work, since it seems to be a pretty good leak. Anyway, thanks for the time....
