do NOT click on spam / suspicious signature links that you may see on any site ..
instead, report them, the ADM will usually come along and delete them.

Cadillac Forum does not allow signature links that re-direct our members to other sites or spam.

We do allow signature links that are related this site, to a personal car owner site ( specially when pictures of their cars are provided), and of course to a site that answers a technical question (please, no Cadillac Forum look alike sites.)

Referrer spam, link farms, mutual admiration societies

Referrer spam -
a member follows a link shown on a web page, the user gives away the IPS address of his/her Internet browser. This is later used to spam your personal email.

Link farms -
tightly-knit spam communities of pages referencing each other, also known as mutual admiration societies.

The subject of the spam site is often unrelated to the wiki page where the link is added. The most popular obvious uses are escort services, p o r n, sex aides, medicine sales, auto parts sales, electronic devices, and outright attempts to direct members to other car sites.
