Any help is much appreciated. Since day one my 68 has had a bad vibration most noticeably under harsh acceleration. I checked the wheels for movement in case it was the wheel bearings but they seem okay I replaced the rear gearbox mouth as it was shot looked at the exhaust system which is almost new and it is close to touching the gearbox in a couple of placed and I looked at the Tailshaft (visual only) and it appears to be reasonably new. Has anyone got any clues on what it could be

Its an very old version and someone don,t too much care of it,so its vibrating issue get occurred.If you want get out of this issue so simply take it to an experienced Vintage mechanic,he knows well about its engine.

 

As odd as it sounds, check the water pump. The bearings were shot on mine and I could move the fan up and down. Replaced the pump and a vibration I had went away.
