Default 1956 Conv Top won't go up

Hi, just purchased a 1956 Series 62 Convertible. A shop worked on the top and replaced the power top motor and installed new cylinders. They advised it worked fine. I had it shipped to me and tried the top. Went down fine but does not go up. Motor is turning and humming but no movement in the top iteself. The shop advises me the system was properly bled to remove air and it has correct hyd. fluid amount.

Any ideas?
Thanks!!!

Did you resolve this yet? Seems like maybe the top motor is no longer connected to the top hardware? What have you checked, and or found?

Hi, thanks for the reply. Still not working. The shop that worked on it in another state is sending a replacement motor. The motor basically pushes power steering fluid through the cylinders to raise or lower the top. The motor is spinning but nothing is moving. The shop seems to think the impeller became loose inside the motor? No fluid is leaking anywhere so I'm not sure what else it can be .

The battery is new and charged.

thanks!

Well, I hope the new motor solves your problem. The diagnosis you have seems to fit the symptoms, so keep your fingers crossed.

Keep us posted.
