Good morning. I own a 2001 DTS with 123,000 km and am having trouble with the Stability Control. The car will usually start to act up when I leave a stop sign. The "stability control" message will come on and the vehicle will start to automatically slow (maybe the ABS engaged?) down for a couple of seconds, and then release. This will happen about 3 times and then on the 4th the "service stability control" message will come on and stay on until I shut off the ignition. I took the car to an independent mechanic and he pulled up code #C1281. Can anyone tell me what this means and what repairs should be done? I understand that the repair might be expensive so I'd like to know beforehand. Looking forward to a response. PH.
